Plaza Premium Group Launches at Vancouver Airport

Plaza Premium Group (PPG) has opened its Canadian flagship lounge at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), introducing Plaza Premium First (PPF) to North America for the first time. The lounge features a dual-concept design, combining the luxury-focused PPF with the newly upgraded Plaza Premium Lounge (PPL).

The nearly 1,000-square-meter space accommodates 251 guests. PPF offers an exclusive 115-seat area for premium travelers, while PPL features 136 seats and a welcoming environment for all travelers, regardless of airline or class. 

According to the statement, Pascal Bélanger, PPG’s senior vice president for the Americas, said: 

“This launch is a major milestone for Plaza Premium Group.Plaza Premium First brings unparalleled luxury and personalized service to North America. This lounge redefines airport hospitality by combining innovation and comfort for every traveler.”

The lounge will include live cooking stations with seasonal menus, pasta bars, noodle dishes, and a signature poutine station. It offers family-friendly amenities, such as a dedicated area with board games and a nursing room for mothers. Guests can enjoy a self-service bar with locally sourced wines, beers, and spirits. Shower facilities are also available for CAD $25.

However, Premium First provides a refined dining experience with a la carte dishes including crab omelette and vegan Thai Curry, complemented by a premium buffet. The full-service bar offers champagne, fine wines, and handcrafted cocktails. Furthermore, travelers can relax in private spaces and take advantage of complimentary showers.

Both lounges offer quiet zones, complimentary Wi-Fi, international charging ports, and flight information screens.

The Canadian lounge emphasises sustainability with local food sourcing, single-use plastic reduction, and vegetarian and vegan dining options. ADA-compliant designs and partnerships with Ocean Wise highlight the commitment to accessibility and environmental responsibility.

Location and Pricing

The lounges are located in the International Terminal between Gates D67 and D68.  Access starts at CAD $69 for PPL and CAD $110 for PPF. Reservations can be made online or through walk-in access.
