Korean Air has been named the Best Airline Onboard Service in the 2024 Global Traveler GT Tested Reader Survey Awards. The airline also secured the title of Best Frequent-Flyer Award Redemption for its SKYPASS loyalty program.

Korean Air excelled in several categories, ranking second for Best First-Class Seat Design and third for Best Airline Cuisine, Best Business-Class Seat Design, Best Flight Attendants, and Best Airport Staff/Gate Agents.

Global Traveler, a U.S.-based luxury travel magazine, conducts the annual survey to recognize top performers in the travel industry. Readers from its print and online platforms vote across categories covering airlines, hotels, and travel services.

This year’s award adds to Korean Air’s long history of accolades. In 2023, the airline won Best Airline Cuisine and Best Business-Class Seat Design, underscoring its ongoing commitment to excellence in customer service and innovation.

Korean Air’s Passenger Experience Sets the Standard

Korean Air’s success is driven by its passenger-focused approach, delivering comfort and innovation through exceptional onboard services. The airline’s flight attendants are renowned for their professionalism and attentiveness, ensuring a seamless and welcoming travel experience for all passengers.

On long-haul flights, passengers enjoy two hearty meals, snacks, and innovative options, such as Korean-style vegan dishes inspired by traditional temple cuisine. The airline also offers a wide selection of in-flight entertainment, including movies, TV shows, and music to cater to diverse tastes. Additionally, passengers can pre-order specialized meals, including vegetarian, gluten-free, and child-friendly options, accommodating various dietary preferences.

According to Francis X. Gallagher, publisher and CEO of Global Traveler:

“I experienced Korean Air’s business-class service in 2024, and the quality is outstanding. This award is well-deserved, and we look forward to celebrating the airline’s continued achievements.”

Award-Winning Airline in 2024

Korean Air’s recognition extends beyond the Global Traveler awards. In 2024, the airline earned the APEX 5-star global airline rating for the eighth consecutive year, solidifying its reputation for excellence. It also won Best Business and First Class in the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for the second year in a row.  Korean Air received the Best Airline Onboard Menu award for its First Class cabin in Global Traveler’s Leisure Lifestyle Awards.

Korean Air’s continued investments in service, culinary innovation, and customer satisfaction have solidified its position among the world’s leading airlines.
