Raising an Impressive Sum

Air Canada welcomed The 12th annual Golf Tournament with 296 guests and over 100 sponsors. Thanks to the support of these partners, the foundation has broken a new record of 1.4 million dollars in donations. It always dedicated the sums to the support of children’s health and life, offering many trainings and gifts.

However, this record of donations is comparatively not higher than last year’s, which was more than 1.3 million dollars. This makes it large sums to donate and demonstrates the solidarity of the society and the team of Air Canada. They directed the donations to several associations and charitable organizations across the country.

The Air Canada Foundation is satisfied with the results, as the donations of the partners have supported children’s right to health care and learning. Moreover,  It has contributed to the children’s safety, responded to their needs, and always given a fair share to the kids who suffer from adversity or even disabilities.

The Golf Tournament

This event is different froma any other golf tournament. It’s a time where we come together with our partners, employees and suppliers to champion a cause we all hold dear – supporting children’s future.

This is what said Michael Rousseau, President and Chief Executive Officer at Air Canada, stressing the importance of the role all the team is playing to empower children and youth.

Indeed, the Golf Tournament is an event which Air Canada Foundation has been hosting for 12 years. The team aims to deliver a good experience to the attendees and certainly encourages donations by promoting their values. Generally, it includes games, live and online auctions, and dinner.

Air Canada Foundation

Air Canada Foundation is a registered charitable foundation that is committed to the well-being of children. It mainly combats poverty and supports ill children. The foundation works through various means, including financial support, Aeroplan points donations, airline tickets, and volunteer efforts. The foundation continually broadens its impact to benefit the community.

the Air Canada Foundation was formally established in response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2012. As the number of initiatives in Canada was increasing at that time, Air Canada was willing to be a part of this contribution to the country, leading to the idea of the Air Canada Foundation.

In conclusion, the Air Canada Foundation had yet another success to share with the promotion of her values and showcasing the will and kindness of people to support the Children, who are the next generation and therefore future of Canada and the world.
