On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Qatar Airways is providing its passengers with a unique experience in the air and at its Doha lounges.

For the fourth year, Qatar Airways continues to demonstrate its dedication to breast cancer awareness, by providing passengers flying in Business Class with a premium amenity bag, developed in-house and made particularly for Qatar Airways by trendy Italian luggage brand BRIC’S.

“We are dedicated to raising awareness for breast cancer. This month is a reminder of the challenges that members of our Qatar Airways family have had to face, and the importance of the support we provide for those diagnosed and in recovery, as we fight together to overcome this disease.” – His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, Group Chief Executive, Qatar Airways

Amenity Kit

Qatar Airways has partnered with BRIC’S, an Italian luggage company, to produce pink limited-edition toiletry kits. These will be available in two different designs: a pink and white kit for female travellers, and a black kit for male passengers, both made of vegan leather. A little pink breast cancer ribbon-shaped zipper handle may be found on both of these kits.

Products from Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio, an environmentally friendly olive oil company based in Italy, are included, including a lip balm, hydrating face mist, and anti-aging moisturiser with special limited edition ‘pink’ branding.

While premium class passengers will receive the BRIC’S amenity kit, economy class customers will receive a basic pink amenity kit on select long-haul and ultra-long-haul flights (pictured above, behind the black kit).

Passengers in Economy Class on overnight long-haul flights and all ultra-long-haul flights will get limited edition breast cancer awareness amenity packs. The pink ribbon is featured on the bags, which contain eyeglasses, socks, earplugs, lip balm, toothbrush, and toothpaste. All lunch and dinner services on all flights departing from Doha will include pink raspberry or strawberry mousse desserts.

Pink Food

Passengers in Business Class on flights departing from Doha, will also be able to enjoy exclusive pink-themed delights onboard, including pink guava and grape lemonade, as well as different pastries with the distinctive pink ribbon. Passengers will be served a special pink afternoon tea buffet comprising raspberry macaroons and opera cake on all ultra-long-haul flights originating from Doha. A pink-themed cheesecake is served to economy class passengers.

The pink flower arrangements, sparkling pink mocktails, and a variety of pink sweet delights will be available in the Qatar Airways Al Mourjan Business Lounge, as well as the ‘Think Pink’ afternoon tea menu, which offers a wonderful selection of finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries. Passengers will have a special ‘Think Pink’ experience on the ground in Doha, at both the Al Safwa First Lounge and the Al Mourjan Business Lounge. A handmade trademark ‘Pink Berry’ mocktail, a ruby hot chocolate topped with pink marshmallows, and a ‘pink themed’ afternoon tea selection “that includes exquisite finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries” are among the items on the menu.

Qatar Airways, in collaboration with the Qatar Cancer Society (QCS), has teamed up with Hamad International Airport (HIA), Qatar Aviation Services (QAS), and Qatar Duty-Free (QDF) to express their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month’s “Think Pink” activities.
