easyJet Holidays announces ‘Most Reliable Sunny Places Near UK’

Using climate data over the past 25 years, easyJet Holidays announces, by percentage, the sunniest places near the UK for summer travel in 2026.

Topping the list provided by easyJet Holidays is Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt, with a 100% reliability rate for warm weather and sunshine, with highs of up to 30°C.

Alongside Sharm el-Sheikh, Sal in Cape Verde, and Hurghada in Egypt, the sunshine summer list also includes top destinations with low rainfall forecasts and beautiful resorts recommended for customers.

Stuart Wright, Customer Director at easyJet Holidays, comments on the sunny destinations for 2026:

“After making it through the dark winter months, we know many of our customers are relying on April’s Easter break to catch up on some much-needed vitamin D.”

‘Optimal Conditions’ for Sunshine, Fun, and Exploring

Holidaying in Egypt, passengers can enjoy deep-water snorkelling, boat trips, desert safaris, and waterparks. If choosing Cape Verde, customers can also enjoy long beach walks.

Returning to the UK, Gran Canaria and Tenerife are forecast to have low rainfall, with highs of 23°C as we head towards the warmer months of the year.

Sun reliability in places such as Italy is 80, with sunshine expected in most parts of the country.

Stuart Wright celebrates destinations predicted with sunshine for customers:

“For those chasing warmer weather at this time of year, nearby destinations across Europe and North Africa can be brilliant options and are well worth considering. We know how important it is for customers to feel confident when booking a sunny Easter getaway. easyJet holidays offers great-value packages across a wide range of beach destinations, which is why we’ve launched our new sun-reliability index to give customers extra reassurance when choosing where to go, helping set them up for a brilliant holiday experience.”
