Lufthansa will introduce 11 new long-haul destinations featuring its Allegris cabin product later this year, including flights to Kuala Lumpur, Houston and Singapore. The airline says the expansion forms part of its wider rollout of the new onboard experience across its network.

Reintroduction of Kuala Lumpur route
One of the new routes is to Kuala Lumpur, which marks Lufthansa’s return to the Malaysian capital after a decade. The airline will operate the route five times per week from Frankfurt Airport (FRA) using Boeing 787-9 aircraft equipped with Allegris cabins, starting Oct. 25, 2026.
Jens Ritter, CEO of Lufthansa Airlines, said
“With the new nonstop connection to Kuala Lumpur and the deployment of our state-of-the-art Dreamliner, we are creating ideal conditions to participate in the growth in Southeast Asia.”
As well as Malaysia, Lufthansa will also be flying from Frankfurt to Vancouver (Canada), Houston (USA), Denver (USA), Atlanta (USA), Detroit (USA), San Jose (Costa Rica) and Seoul (South Korea) this winter.
From Munich, the new destinations with Allegris onboard are Singapore, Washington (USA) and Cape Town (South Africa), with Singapore starting in late October and Washington in March 2027.

Rollout of Allegris continues
The airline introduced Allegris earlier this year as part of a major cabin modernisation programme covering all travel classes. The first-class cabins recently received the Red Dot Award for innovative design, making it one of the few airlines to receive this award.
The Allegris concept includes redesigned seating, larger entertainment screens and upgraded cabin layouts aimed at improving passenger comfort on long-haul flights.
According to Lufthansa, more than half a million passengers have already travelled on Allegris aircraft since the product entered commercial service in 2024. The carrier plans to continue adding destinations throughout 2026 as additional aircraft enter the fleet.
