Awery Aviation Software has appointed Cornelia Korsch as Global Development Director for Awery and CargoBooking, its digital air cargo quoting and booking platform. Korsch will focus on bringing more airlines and cargo capacity to CargoBooking while increasing adoption among freight forwarders.

Korsch Brings More Than 30 Years of Air Cargo Experience
Korsch joins Awery with more than three decades of experience across airline sales, air cargo technology and business development.
Her previous positions include global airline partnership roles at WebCargo by Freightos and AirBridgeCargo Airlines, as well as more than 20 years with Cargolux Airlines.
In her new role, Korsch will work with airlines and technology providers to expand CargoBooking’s participation across the air cargo industry. The platform uses AI-powered tools to allow airlines to present available capacity to freight forwarders and enable forwarders to search for and book cargo capacity digitally.
Awery CEO and founder Vitaly Smilianets said Korsch’s understanding of airline requirements would help the company bring more carriers onto the platform and give freight forwarders greater choice.

Awery Strengthens Global Commercial Team
Korsch’s appointment follows Awery’s recent hiring of Gianluca Marcangelo as Executive Vice President of Global Sales.
The appointments come as the company continues to expand its presence in the global air cargo technology market, with a focus on digital distribution and improving connections between airlines and freight forwarders.
Smilianets and Marcangelo are also attending the EU Cross-Border E-commerce Forum in Liège, Belgium, from Sept. 8 to 10, 2026.
