It was recently announced that Embraer is to return to the Singapore Airshow in 2024, which will take place from the 20th to the 25th of February. Their return highlights the company’s ever-growing presence within Asia Pacific countries.
A Growing Presence
Embraer is a global aerospace company and the third-largest commercial jet manufacturer in the world. The company also manufactures aircraft for executive aviation customers and specialises in other sectors, such as defense, security, and agriculture. Furthermore, they provide after-sales services and support to their customers with their worldwide network of owned entities and authorised agents.
Their imaginative engineering and technology, since their founding back in 1969, has led to more than 8,000 airplanes being delivered to a variety of customers worldwide. Statistics show that an Embraer-manufactured aircraft takes off somewhere in the world, on average, around every 10 seconds, transporting over 145 million passengers per year.
The company has 18,000 employees and maintains several offices, industrial units, and service and parts distribution centres across North and South America, Africa, Asia, and Europe.
The Singapore Airshow
The Singapore Airshow is Asia’s most influential international aerospace and defense exhibition, allowing aerospace engineering companies to display their latest commercial and military aircraft to the world.
For the first time ever, Embraer is planning on presenting its C-390 Millennium multi-mission tactical transport aircraft, which is currently experiencing an influx of positive sales and was recently selected by South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Programme Administration (DAPA).
The Praetor 600 will also be making its debut at the Singapore Airshow. This aircraft is notably the most technologically advanced business jet within its category and is renowned for its exceptional performance and versatility.
Returning to Singapore is the E195-E2 commercial jet, the most fuel-efficient and quietest single-aisle aircraft in the world. This year, it is said to be sporting the newest ‘Tech Eagle’ livery. In 2023, the E2 received double the amount of important orders and deliveries compared to 2022.
Francisco Gomes Neto, the President and CEO at Embraer, stated:
“Our presence in Asia Pacific is growing and the Airshow provides us a great platform to further interact with the aerospace and defense communities across the region.”
Eve Air Mobility
Eve Air Mobility, a new independent company backed by Embraer and dedicated to accelerating the Urban Air Mobility ecosystem, will be making the company’s debut. Eve will present an overview of its eVTOL – a development and manufacturing project – and services and operations solutions. These include its Urban Air Traffic Management software solution; Eve will offer visitors a unique virtual reality flight experience as part of the show.
