AirAsia is pleased to support the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC)’s #BeyondTheGames campaign to support the Kingdom hosting the upcoming Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in 2023. Cambodia will host the SEA Games for the first time in 2023.
In a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with #BeyondTheGames, AirAsia agreed to incorporate its brand throughout the initiative and expand its commercial cooperation and strategic alliance.

Cyril Girot, CEO of Cambodia Airports said
“We thank our partners for giving our airports teams the opportunity to play a part in the #BeyondTheGames initiative. We share the campaign’s values and, therefore, are well disposed to its inclusive principle and tourism centric approach.
Cambodia’s Key Opportunities
At the signing ceremony, AirAsia also unveiled the #BeyondTheGames livery. This livery will be utilised on all of AirAsia Malaysia’s (AK) numerous domestic and international routes, especially those in the ASEAN region, where there are numerous opportunities to promote Cambodia’s tourism industry even after the significant sporting event.
In addition to His Excellency Sok Sabayna, Executive Director of the #BeyondTheGames campaign and Under Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, and Mrs Laurence Erbs, General Manager of Phnom Penh International Airport, the livery was unveiled by Vissoth Nam, CEO of AirAsia Cambodia.

Girot also added:
“After the successful handling of dignitaries and participants at our airports during the ASEAN Summit and meetings in 2022, we aim at the same level of airport experience for the SEA Games visitors and the delegations from 11 countries.”
Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC)
UYFC has successfully carried out its specific projects and activities ever since it was established in 1978, particularly from January 7, 1979 to 1993. UYFC has been instrumental in inspiring young people to participate in defending and rebuilding the country through education, mobilization, and modeling.
Hundreds of thousands of young combatants, militias, workers, farmers, and students have actively contributed to the people’s just cause by imitating UYFC movements at every stage.
Goals: To support young Cambodians’ education so they can become the nation’s foundation and future leaders, preserving past accomplishments and achieving future socioeconomic development.

His Excellency Sok Sabayna, Executive Director of #BeyondTheGames campaign and Secretary of State of Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports said:
“For Cambodia to be the host for the first time of the 32nd SEA Games and 12th ASEAN Para Games, it is an opportunity for Cambodia to promote the two sporting events and through the 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games, we are able to showcase our national pride and prestige to the world.”
