Emirates passengers will be able to watch every match of the FIFA World Cup 2026 live while travelling after the airline confirmed it will broadcast the tournament through Sport 24 on ice across its fleet. The competition is being hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 until July 19, 2026.

Live coverage at 40,000 feet
According to Emirates, all 104 matches of the World Cup will be available on Sport 24 on ICE and Sport 24 Extra channels. The service will be offered on aircraft equipped with the airline’s in-flight entertainment system, allowing passengers to follow the tournament throughout their journey.
The airline said that customers will be able to watch live coverage from the group stage through to the final, regardless of where they are flying during the tournament, and it will be available in all classes on the flight. The matches will also be screened in the Emirates lounges of Dubai International Airport (DXB).
ICE, the award-winning system standing for Information, Connectivity and Entertainment, is featured on every single Emirates aircraft, in all classes. It offers up to 6500 channels of movies, TV shows, box sets, music, live sports and news. Although Sport 24 is featured on other airlines’ entertainment systems, Emirates is the only one to confirm it will be broadcasting all of the tournament’s games.

Football and Emirates
The announcement reflects Emirates’ long-standing involvement with global football. The Dubai-based carrier has partnered with a number of major clubs and sporting events worldwide, including Real Madrid C.F. and Arsenal F.C., and continues to invest heavily in sports sponsorships.
Other sports tournaments will also be available to watch in-flight, including the NBA Finals and Formula 1 Grand Prix. Emirates said the onboard broadcasts will help connect football fans with one of the world’s biggest sporting events, even while travelling.
