Air Canada has expanded its premium ground offering with the launch of new locations under its Air Canada Café expansion, opening spaces at Vancouver International Airport and Montréal-Trudeau International Airport. The airline said the Air Canada Café expansion is part of a wider investment in its lounge network and overall customer experience. The new openings form part of a multi-year programme to modernise airport services.

Air Canada Café expansion adds new Vancouver location

The latest Air Canada Café expansion includes a second café at Vancouver International Airport, located in the domestic C concourse. The new space has 84 seats and offers an expanded premium environment for travellers.

The Vancouver location includes a full-service bar with barista-made coffee, local craft beers, and a selection of wines and cocktails. The food offering focuses on locally sourced ingredients, with menu items such as char siu pork bao buns, vegan curry bao, vegetarian kimbap, and pastries from Lee’s Doughnuts.

Design elements are intended to reflect the local environment, with references to the city’s natural landscape and contributions from Vancouver-based designers and artists. According to Air Canada, the Vancouver addition strengthens the overall Air Canada Café expansion strategy in key domestic hubs.

Montréal opening supports Air Canada café expansion strategy

The Air Canada Café expansion also includes a new 62-seat café in the U.S. departures area at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport. The space is designed to reflect Montréal’s coffee culture and provide a premium pre-flight experience for transborder passengers.

Menu options include smoked meat sandwiches, bagels, and pastries such as pistachio croissants. The café also offers locally sourced beverages, including Québec wines, gin, and craft beer. A vegan soup option from a Québec-based Indigenous-owned business is also available.

Air Canada said the Air Canada Café expansion is part of its broader plan to enhance its global lounge network. Access to the cafés is available to eligible customers, including Business Class passengers, Aeroplan elite members, Star Alliance Gold members, and select co-branded cardholders.
