The Brazilian aerospace company Embraer has delivered an E175 aircraft to the Nigerian budget airline Air Peace, the carrier’s first airplane from the model. The African carrier’s regional jet will support its plans to increase local and regional routes in Nigeria and West Africa.

Air Peace’s Embraer fleet

The Nigerian budget airline has a 33-aircraft fleet with five more on order, consisting of Boeing, Airbus and Embraer jets. Its Embraer fleet is made up of multiple narrowbody jet models, including the E190, E195-E2 and the smaller ERJ145, delivering short- and medium-haul flights.

The Embraer E175 is a twin-engine aircraft with a two-by-two seating layout and a capacity ranging from 76 to 88 passengers.

Air Peace Chairman and CEO, Dr. Allen Onyema, said:

“The delivery of our first Embraer E175 is a major milestone in Air Peace’s growth, reflecting our commitment to boosting domestic and regional travel with a modern, efficient fleet.”

“As we strengthen our leadership in West and Central Africa, this aircraft will increase our operational flexibility and market reach, all while maintaining the safety, reliability, and excellent service our passengers expect.”

Air Peace growth

Air Peace is undergoing active route expansion plans across Africa and internationally, including new flights from Lagos to Mali’s Bamako, Guinea’s Conakry, Cameroon’s Douala and Gabon’s Libreville announced on April 1, 2026.

The budget carrier also has routes to travel hubs outside Africa, including London, Mumbai, Jeddah and the Caribbean.
