Qatar Airways has announced a new partnership deal with the UEFA Championship League, extending its foothold in the European region. This comes after the airline’s successful UEFA EURO 2020 and UEFA EURO 2024 sponsorships. The deal is expected to run until 2030.

UEFA Champions League

The UEFA Champions League (UCL) is a yearly football tournament organised by UEFA, bringing together the top clubs from Europe’s highest divisions. The league is recognised as one of the most prestigious competitions in global football, and it features the champions of national leagues across Europe.

This partnership however, reemphasises Qatar Airways’ commitment and dedication to offering world-class service and unforgettable experiences for football lovers in Europe and around the world, strengthening its reputation as the World’s Best Airline, as voted by Skytrax in 2024.

Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, notes how the new partnership reflects its ‘commitment to connecting people worldwide’ through its network of over 170 destinations while supporting the Champions League. He elaborates:

We are thrilled to join forces with UEFA. As the Official Airline Partner of the UEFA Champions League, Qatar Airways is dedicated to transporting thousands of fans to this esteemed competition. Our partnership with the UEFA Champions League not only strengthens our connection with Europe but also aligns perfectly with our vision of fostering unity and celebrating excellence.

Exclusive Discounts for Football Fans

In the spirit of celebration, the national carrier of the State of Qatar has announced a 12 per cent discount on flight fares and exclusive ticket promotions, including UEFA Champions League travel packages. In a statement seen by Travel Radar, UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin says:

Qatar Airways and UEFA are united in their passion for sports and global business excellence. […] This shared commitment is the foundation of our long-lasting partnership as we strive to provide football fans worldwide with exceptional experiences. We are delighted to expand our partnership to another level as we embark on a new era of the UEFA Champions League.

Qatar Airways continues to broaden its sponsorship portfolio which highlights its commitment and involvement in the world of football.
