A Lufthansa Boeing 747-8i aircraft has had to reject takeoff due to a reported engine trouble. Registered as D-ABYP, performing flight LH-511 from Buenos Aires Ezeiza (Argentina) to Frankfurt/Main (Germany). It was accelerating for takeoff from Ezeiza’s runway 11 when the crew rejected takeoff at low speed (about 40 knots over ground) due to a problem with the #4 engine (GEnx, outboard right hand). The aircraft slowed safely and returned to the apron.

The flight was cancelled. And the airline reported a maintenance team has been dispatched to Buenos Aires to check the engine.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Buenos Aires 4 days after the rejected takeoff.
