Embraer Wins Prestigious Award

The renowned prize, founded in 1980, aims to recognise outstanding technical accomplishments, scientific or technological progress, or contributions to society through global collaboration in the aeronautics sector.

The award showcased Embraer’s breakthroughs in technology with its “Aeroelastic Tailoring,”. It has achieved this progress through a significant collaborative endeavour with well-known research institutions across several nations. The project focused on verifying methods for designing future aircraft that are more efficient and have lower emissions. Pedro Higino de Passos Cabral, the project leader, represented Embraer’s engineering team.

Cleiton Silva, Vice President of Technology and Advanced Projects at Embraer, congratulated the team and stated:

It is a privilege to see our team and partners recognized for the Aeroelastic Tailoring Cooperation program. This initiative has brought together the best minds from around the world to advance sustainable aviation through innovative theories, computational methods, and experimental procedures.

Congress of ICAS in Italy

ICAS unites aerospace firms, national research facilities, and academic organizations. The ICAS Congress provides exceptional chances to expand their connections and participate in global cooperation. Its unique environment encourages lasting partnerships and sends a strong message about our collective efforts to tackle global issues.

During the first plenary session Roberto Cingolani, CEO of Leonardo, emphasized the transformative impact of advanced technologies and the need for a global approach to security.

Cingolani called for an interconnected digital architecture capable of operating across multiple domains at high speed. He received the Daniel and Florence Guggenheim Award for his contributions to Italy’s aeronautical industry and advancements in materials science, nanotechnology, and automation.
