About the opening of Emirates’ Tokyo travel store

The opening of the Tokyo travel store included a ribbon cutting ceremony. It was attended by a range of dignitaries: His Excellency Shihab Ahmed Al Faheem, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Far East; Satish Sethi, Emirates’ Country Manager for Japan; Tetsuya Mori and members of Japan’s civil aviation bureau along with local journalists.

With the opening of Emirates Travel Store Osaka in July 2025, the new Tokyo store helps to increase Emirates’ retail presence in Japan.  Located in Otemachi, a key Japanese commercial area, the store helps focus on Emirates’ global network and holiday offerings due to multilingual travel support which caters to Japanese and global customers. Store visitors benefit from support with bookings, travel and itineraries.

In terms of design, the store has been thoughtfully created to demonstrate comfort and luxury, with soft beige chairs and modernist furnishings. The travel also has cutting-edge features like a self-service kiosk and a Queue Management system. A selfie mirror adds a contemporary touch as well. The travel store also features unique backgrounds of popular destinations which Emirates flies to and a display piece of the Boeing 777 Business Class seat.

How Japan keeps growing as a market

As Japan remains a key market for Emirates, the airline is focused on connectivity between Japan and the UAE. Currently, Emirates flies to both Osaka’s Kansai International Airport (KIX), Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) and Narita International Airport (NRT). With the airline expanding its Narita operations, Emirates’ commitment to Japan remains.

In the long-term, Emirates’ plans for expansion meet growing demand for travel to Japan and allow passengers great choice and flexibility when deciding on their travel itineraries.
