Emirates debuts new premium Boeing 777 aircraft to further destinations

Emirates has unveiled the launch of its newly refreshed Boeing 777 aircraft, on its routes to Kuwait and Dammam, Saudi Arabia, bringing a striking upgrade in premium travel to short-haul flights within the Gulf region. The aircraft feature the latest Business Class and Premium Economy Cabins, offering passengers a chance to indulge in the airline’s signature luxury and unparalleled onboard comfort.

A New Standard

As Emirates continues to roll out refurbished cabins across its fleet, Kuwait and Dammam will become the second and third cities in the GCC (the Gulf Cooperation Council) to be served by these enhanced aircraft jets. Emirates, with its retrofitted and redesigned aircraft, aims to foster an exceptional travel experience, showcasing the very best of the airline’s next-generation cabin designs.

From Oct. 27, passengers on flights EK855 and EK856 to and from Kuwait can experience the new Boeing 777 aircraft. From Nov. 22, Dammam passengers will aso experience the new cabin across flights EK823, EK824, EK821 and EK822, joining Riyadh as the second destination in Saudi Arabia to introduce this elevated level of service.

Luxurious Cabin Upgrades

The new Emirates Boeing 777 began refurbishment in July 2024, and features a refreshed four-class configuration, including 24 Premium Economy seats set in a 2-4-2 layout. These 19.5-inch-wide seats offer a spacious 38-inch pitch, adjustable headrests and an 8-inch recline, providing optimal comfort for passengers to stretch, sleep and relax.

Business Class travellers will be treated to Emirates’ renowned comfort, drawing design inspiration from elements of its A380 cabins. With 38 soft leather seats in a 1-2-1 layout, each passenger has direct aisle access and the ability to fully recline into a flatbed. The Business cabin is complete with its classic sleek champagne accents, cream leather seats and personal minibars, ensuring absolute refinement. Business passengers can enjoy a 23-inch HD screen, making it one of the largest in-flight entertainment systems in the sky.

Expanding Routes for Seamless Travel

Emirates continues to expand the reach of its upgraded Boeing 777s beyond the GCC. The airline plans to introduce its jets to a network of major US cities, from Chicago, Boston and Dallas-Fort Worth to Seattle, and Miami. This will give passengers travelling from Kuwait or Dammam to the United States (via Dubai) a chance to also delight in a seamless travel experience across Emirates and its exquisite Premium Economy and Business Class cabins.
