Eastern Airways, a UK-based airline, has introduced a new route to transport its passengers from Southend Airport to Newquay, Cornwall. This route will begin in April 2025, and tickets will go on sale on Monday, January 13th, 2025.

A Portal to the South West Coastal Haven

The route has previously been heavily requested by those living in the UK’s London, Essex, and East Anglia areas. Now that it has been introduced, it provides a portal for those living in the East to experience life in the South West.

This new route has also been officially marked as the 20th route this airline will operate.

Southend Airport’s Business Development Manager, Nigel Mayes, commented on the positivity of this new route:

The return of a route to Newquay is a great way to start the new year, connecting passengers from coast to capital and into London with our on-site train line, just 43 minutes into Stratford or 52 minutes to London Liverpool Street. We look forward to welcoming new customers, and returning faces, in April this year.

About Eastern Airways

Since 1997, Eastern Airlines has continuously delivered flights to and from locations in the UK. Fast-forward to 2014, and the Bistrow Group obtained a generous 60% interest from Eastern Airlines, with the remaining 40% obtained in 2018.

Eastern Airways operates a fleet of aircraft that ensures a comforting experience for travellers. Each aircraft can accommodate a maximum of 100 travellers and provides due diligence when using fuel.

The airline has been successful in receiving a multitude of awards in previous years. These include the Airline of the Year award in 2006/07 and the Baltic Air Charter Association Best Passenger Charter Airline in 2011.
