Delta Air Lines Announces Largest-Ever Winter Schedule: Increased Service to Latin America and Caribbean

Delta airlines has announced its largest-ever winter schedule expansion in Latin America and the Caribbean, offering an impressive 35,000 additional seats to the region.

Compared to the seating capacity of the previous year’s winter season, this move shows a 30 per cent increase.

The expansion includes enhanced flight frequencies to nine destinations within Latin America and the Caribbean. Departing from six major U.S. hubs, Delta will now offer increased services to Guatemala and Liberia in Central America, as well as San Juan in Puerto Rico, among others.

Largest-Ever Winter Schedule

The expanded Delta Air Lines winter schedule includes increased Saturday flight frequencies to several destinations:

From Atlanta:

  • St. Thomas: Thrice
  • St. Maarten: Twice
  • Guatemala: Twice
  • San José: Thrice
  • Liberia: Thrice
  • San Juan: Six times

From New York-JFK:

  • Cancun: Three times

From Detroit:

  • Punta Cana: Twice
  • Montego Bay: Twice
  • San Juan: Twice

From Minneapolis:

  • Punta Cana: Twice
  • Montego Bay: Twice
  • San Juan: Twice

From Boston:

  • San Juan: Twice

The new Saturday routes will commence on January 13 and will be served by various aircraft, including the Boeing 757-200, 737-900, and 737-800, providing passengers with options such as First Class, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin.

Furthermore, Delta is introducing an additional route from Seattle to Cancun, operating on Fridays and Saturdays on the Boeing 737-800 starting from December 22, on a seasonal basis.
