An Air France Boeing 777-300ER registered F-GSQE, performing flight AF-267 from Seoul (South Korea) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France). The flight was en route to Paris at FL360. It was handed off from Polish to German Air Traffic Control near Szczecin in Poland when radio communication with the aircraft was lost.

Germany dispatched two Eurofighters to intercept the aircraft at supersonic speed. Radio communication with AF-267 was re-established prior to the Eurofighters reaching the aircraft. The Eurofighters continued and established visual and radio contact with the 777 before returning to their base.

The aircraft continued to Paris for a safe landing without further incident.

A Transavia flight was also intercepted by Eurofighters today, link to the article here
