Air Canada was awarded three prestigious Freddie Awards, which included Best Program of the Year, Best Elite Program and Best Promotion for Aeroplan’s 40th Anniversary. Vice Pre

sident, Loyalty & Product at Air Canada, Scott O’Leary, said:

“We’re incredibly proud to be honoured among our peers at this year’s Freddie Awards, and this is especially meaningful as the culmination of our 40th Anniversary celebration. A special thanks to our Aeroplan members for their support, and to our loyalty team, for bringing their full energy and commitment to the membership experience every day.”

The 34th annual Freddie Awards were held in Chicago, April 30, 2025. Named after the legendary Sir Freddie Laker, the awards are considered to be the most prestigious awards in the travel loyalty industry. The Freddie Awards recognise Travel loyalty programs that display excellent customer service, value, and innovation.

Aeroplan offers flight rewards to thousands of destinations globally and more than 45 partner airlines. Members of the Aeroplan program can access every seat on Air Canada Flights and access features such as Family Sharing. The program also includes an integrated booking experience. The integrated booking experience gives members the ability to search for and redeem flight rewards at aircanada.com or on the Air Canada app. They can also add a stopover to an international itinerary for 5,000 points.

Aeroplan offers customers the ability to earn or redeem points on the world’s largest airline partner network. Customers can redeem for flight rewards on Air Canada flights without restrictions and without paying cash surcharges for redemptions. Over 9 million votes were cast worldwide, and the Aeroplan program came out on top. Being awarded three prestigious Freddie Awards is a testament to the Aeroplan program and Air Canada’s dedication to customers.
