Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced a next-generation KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system, with 4K touchscreens, spatial audio and more than 2,500 entertainment options. It will arrive alongside Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi, which the airline plans to introduce progressively from early 2027.

What is new on board?
SIA’s next-generation KrisWorld will debut on its 41 retrofitted Airbus A350-900 long-haul and A350-900 ultra-long-range (ULR) aircraft, which will enter service progressively from 2027, and on its upcoming Boeing 777-9 aircraft. The system uses 4K touchscreens, with OLED displays on selected aircraft and cabin classes. first class screens measure 32 inches, while business class screens measure up to 22 inches. On the Boeing 777-9, premium economy screens go up to 16 inches and economy screens up to 13 inches.
Headphones vary by cabin to create a more immersive audio experience. first class passengers get Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth headphones with active noise cancellation, while business class and premium economy passengers get noise-canceling headphones. economy passengers receive wired earphones, and Bluetooth pairing will be available in all cabins on the Boeing 777-9 and in first and business class on the retrofitted A350s.
The interface has been redesigned with clearer menus, a mini-player that keeps a video running while you browse, content shortcuts and a sidebar showing real-time flight information. Entertainment includes content from Apple TV, BBC, CNA, HBO Max, iQIYI and Paramount+, which is refreshed monthly. A kids mode is also included for young travelers.
Wi-Fi, Wellness and Rollout
Starlink will arrive first on SIA’s Airbus A380, A350-900 long-haul and A350-900ULR aircraft. Passengers in Suites, first class and business class, plus PPS Club members and KrisFlyer members in premium economy and economy, will continue to receive unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi on Starlink-equipped aircraft.
Passengers who log in with a KrisFlyer account will get tailored recommendations and can resume programs from a previous flight. They can also see gate and terminal details for connecting SIA flights from Singapore. A new wellness planner offers sleep and meditation tracks, breathing exercises and in-seat stretches.
Yeoh Phee Teik, SIA senior vice president for customer experience, said customers wanted more choice and flexibility in how they spend their time on board. The airline will unveil its new travel experience in Singapore in November 2026.
