Qatar Airways has resumed twice-daily flights between Doha and Abu Dhabi. The move is part of a wider restoration of the airline’s Middle Eastern network, which was impacted by the recent hostilities involving neighbouring Iran.

Restoration of Global Network
The recommencement of the Abu Dhabi flights is the latest in several routes the airline is relaunching. It restarted daily flights to Bahrain (BAH), Damascus (DAM) and Kozhikode (CCJ) on May 1, 2026, while daily services to Dubai (DXB) and Sharjah (SHJ) relaunched on April 23, 2026. On May 10, 2026, routes to the Iraqi cities of Baghdad (BGW), Basra (BSR), and Erbil (EBL) were also restarted.
As well as the Middle East, the airline is embarking on a phased return of its entire global network, with flights to Helsinki (HEL) and Tokyo Haneda (HND) due to restart from July 15, 2026.

Passengers Impacted by Iran War
The airline is offering passengers who hold tickets issued between Feb. 28 and April 30, 2026, and who were due to travel between Feb. 28 and Sept. 15, 2026, the chance to change their travel date to a date up to Oct. 31, 2026, for free. Alternatively, passengers may request a refund of the unused ticket value.
The airline has also advised passengers to regularly check their website or app for any changes or cancellations to their scheduled flights.
