A Deserved Celebration

Ipanema cropdusters are an ethanol-powered aircraft that uses biofuel, and a sales leader of the agricultural aviation market with an approximate 60% share. In the last three years, more than 180 units have been sold, regarded as the top preference of rural producers. These aircrafts offer a wide range of equipment that boosts productivity and precision, with an efficiency equivalent to four large ground sprayers and able to spray more than 200 hectares per hour.

The leader of Embraer’s Agricultural Aviation, Sany Onofre, spoke on this celebration:

“The delivery of unit 1,700 represents an important milestone in the history of this aircraft, which is synonymous with high productivity, efficiency, low operating cost and sustainability in the sector. We are extremely proud to see how Ipanema continues to contribute strongly to the development of the agricultural sector over the years.”

During the events celebrating this huge delivery, Embraer has also continued to promote Flight Safety as part of various initiatives in this field. Some of these initiatives include discussions around preventive inspections, a safe environment, and good practices for pilots, mechanics and operators. In Brazil, a strong safety culture is emphasised from the start of an agricultural pilot’s career through a lecture from the Ipanema customer support team, with 100% of pilot training classes including this. Even with this achievement and important milestone in sustainability, Embraer continues to work towards improving the aerospace and agricultural sector for all.
