Spirit Airlines, the American ultra low-cost airline, has revealed the top ten most searched destinations by its customers for the Thanksgiving holiday period, running from 25 November to 1 December 2025.

Spirit Airlines Customers Looking for Sunny Getaways
The data, revealed today by Spirit Airlines, reveals that customers are searching for warm and sunny destinations for their Thanksgiving trips, as well as city breaks, with destinations such as Orlando and New York topping the list. Spirit.com web searches made between Sept. 1, 2025, and Oct. 19, 2025, for travel from Nov. 25, 2025, to Dec. 1, 2025 reveal the top ten most searched destinations:
- Orlando (MCO)
- Fort Lauderdale (FLL)
- Las Vegas (LAS)
- Houston (IAH)
- Detroit (DTW)
- Atlanta (ATL)
- Newark (EWR)
- New York-LaGuardia (LGA)
- San Juan (SJU)
- Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW)

What Do These Results Mean for Spirit Customers?
Rana Ghosh, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Spirit Airlines, said the following:
“This Thanksgiving, travelers are searching for flights to spend the long weekend with the people and places they’re most thankful for. Guests heading home or carving out time for a much-needed vacation can count on us to deliver the greatest value on their travels this holiday season and beyond.”
This holiday season, Spirit Airlines will offer more premium seats than it ever has before with its Spirit First and Premium Economy travel options, which offer passengers more space and extra perks compared to other classes. Customers in Spirit’s ‘Big Front Seat’ will be able to relax and enjoy unlimited snacks and drinks, including alcoholic beverages, among other perks that come with the airline’s Spirit First option.
More than 3,200 Spirit Airlines flights are scheduled to operate during the peak travel period, meaning the carrier will fly a combined total of more than three million miles (4.8 million kilometres). The busiest travel days for Spirit will be 30 November and 1 December 2025, as customers across the U.S. jet off to see friends and family, relax in the sun, or explore exciting destinations.
