On an AirAsia X flight from China, chaos erupted when a Chinese women started screaming at a flight attendant for speaking English on the international flight. Her disruptive behaviour led to her being kicked off the plane, and delayed the departure by two hours.

The Incident
The flight was an AirAsia X plane (D7809), flying from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (CKG) in China to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) in Malaysia, on April 22.
The situation reportedly began when the woman, Li Youdong, refused to stop using her mobile phone and talking loudly during taxiing and the safety announcements. She became agitated and began shouting at another passenger who she believed was filming her.
According to passengers, Youdong leapt to her feet during the announcements and went on a bizarre rant, screaming at crew for speaking English instead of Mandarin. She also refused to follow basic safety rules.
Despite a purser stepping in to translate, the woman remained uncooperative and demanded immediate compensation. The captain ultimately made the decision to return the aircraft to the parking bay to ensure the safety and security of all passengers. Once the plane arrived at the bay, the local authorities intervened to resolve the situation and removed her from the plane.

The Aftermath
During the incident, Li Youdong claimed to be an off-duty flight attendant for China Southern Airlines, though this link was later denied by that airline.
After delaying the aircraft and being escorted out from the plane, Youdong posted a livestream on social media stating that she believes that all crew on an international flight should speak in Mandarin. She defended her actions and also warned the public to stop harassing her and her family.
A handwritten “Letter of Guarantee” purportedly signed by her surfaced online shortly after the incident. These letters are often used by Chinese authorities for minor infractions as a way for offenders to reflect on their mistakes and promise better self-control in the future. In this letter, she reportedly acknowledged she should not have argued with other passengers, caused a disturbance or ignored crew instructions.
