In a major boost to the North Texas aerospace industry, global aviation leader Embraer has begun construction on a new state-of-the-art Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport. The development signals both continued growth for the company in the U.S. and new opportunities for the region’s skilled workforce.

A New Era for Aviation at Alliance Airport
Embraer officially broke ground on October 20, 2025, for a cutting-edge Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility at Perot Field Alliance Airport in Fort Worth, Texas. The Brazilian aerospace company’s newest U.S. expansion is set to open in 2027 and will significantly boost its capacity to service E-Jets across North America. The facility marks a major investment of up to $70 million and is expected to create around 250 skilled aviation jobs.

A Strong Public-Private Partnership
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Embraer executives, Fort Worth officials, and representatives from the State of Texas, Denton County, and private partners. “This facility is a symbol of our long-term commitment to the U.S. market,” said Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO of Embraer. The company already operates at Alliance Airport and views this expansion as a continuation of its 46-year presence in the country.

Fort Worth’s Role in Global Aviation Strengthens
Local leaders emphasised the broader impact of the project. Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker hailed the investment as a sign of the city’s growing status in aerospace and manufacturing. Ross Perot Jr., Chairman of Hillwood, highlighted the collaborative effort between industry and government that made the project possible. With this development, Fort Worth further cements its role as Texas’ aviation and defence capital, supporting job creation, innovation, and long-term regional growth.
