Korean Air, the Seoul-based carrier dominates 2025 Magellan Awards with innovations in service, design, and digital experience. Korean Air’s outstanding performance and commitment to the highest level of safety and customer service has widely been recognised. The airline has been granted numerous awards including a 5-star airline rating from Skytrax as well as Airline of the Year from both Air Transport World and Airline Ratings.

A Clean Sweep at the Magellan Awards

Korean Air soared at the 2025 Travel Weekly Magellan Awards, earning six Gold Awards across key categories that celebrate excellence in global aviation. The airline was named Gold winner for International Carrier, Service under the Airline Overall category. Its premium in-flight offerings were also honoured, with Golds in First Class, Business Class, and In-Flight Menu categories. In the digital realm, Korean Air’s upgraded Mobile App took home top recognition under Airline Marketing. The awards were decided by a panel of seasoned industry professionals and reflect Korean Air’s growing global influence in premium travel.

Elevating the Premium Experience

Following the launch of a refreshed brand identity, Korean Air has significantly upgraded its First and Business Class offerings. Highlights include bespoke amenity kits crafted in collaboration with luxury jeweler Graff, quilted mattress pads for long-haul Business Class comfort, and exclusive turndown service in First Class. The airline’s reimagined in-flight dining now features elevated Korean cuisine with a modern twist, presented on newly designed tableware. Special dietary meals have also been revamped for taste and quality.

Innovation on the Ground and in the Air

Korean Air’s digital transformation efforts were recognised with a Gold Award for its mobile app, which now includes real-time navigation at Incheon International Airport. Recent updates also brought certified web accessibility to both the app and the airline’s website, improving usability for travelers of all abilities. These tech-forward enhancements reflect the airline’s commitment to making the travel experience smoother, smarter, and more inclusive.
