Canadian airline WestJet won The Airline Passenger Experience Association’s 2026 Apex award at the APEX global expo in Long Beach, California. It also showcased its uniform in the Professional Clothing Fashion Show on the APEX global expo.

The Airline Passenger Experience Association Awards

The Airline Passenger Experience Association partnered with TripIt to recognise the airlines across the world based on neutral, third-party passenger feedback.

Since 2017, APEX has been recognising airlines with five star and four star ratings in different categories such as global airlines, major airlines, regional airlines and low-cost carriers.

WestJet has earned the four star major airlines rating for the second time in a row after receiving it for the first time in 2025 awards.

Alex Mitchell, Vice President, Guest Experience, said,

“This recognition is a direct reflection of the passion, dedication, and excellence our frontline teams brought to life this year. It’s a huge win for our entire WestJet team—and I couldn’t be prouder.”

WestJet also exhibited its latest uniform in the PCIAW fashion show on the Apex 2026 global expo in California.

Elise Featherstone, manager, uniforms said,

“Guest experience is built on global partnerships, and one of the most recognizable parts of that experience comes from WestJet’s uniformed employees. The uniform represents more than just attire — it’s a symbol of safety, comfort, and trust for every person who travels with us.”

Calgary-based airline had earned its place in the APEX 2026 airline rating by competing with over 600 airlines across the world.

For the 2026 APEX awards, more than one million PNR-verified flights have been rated by the passengers using TripIt.
