Spanish low-cost airline Volotea has announced a new codesharing agreement with French airlines Air Caraïbes and French bee, which will allow its passengers to connect to a variety of North American, Carribbean and other long-haul destinations, including four destinations in the USA: Los Angeles, Miami, New York and San Francisco, which will be delivered by French bee. Flights will connect from Paris-Orly Airport.

Volotea Partners up with Air Caraïbes and French bee

Starting from August 6 2025, the airlines’ interline agreement will be in effect, and passengers for Air Caraïbes and French bee will be able to purchase flights for flights to Paris-Orly Airport, enabling travellers from eight French and Italian cities to connect to flights to the Caribbean, French Polynesia, Réunion, Canada, and the United States, with benefits such as one ticket for the entire journey, direct baggage transfer and optimised connections through Paris-Orly Airport. Tickets are available now through the Air Caraïbes and French bee websites.

The eight cities in Europe connected to Paris-Orly are as follows:

  • Lourdes, France
  • Rodez, France
  • Alghero, Italy
  • Ancona, Italy
  • Genoa, Italy
  • Olbia, Italy
  • Turin, Italy
  • Verona, Italy

The CEOs of the respective airlines shared a sense of optimism for the ease of use and greater opportunities the new codesharing agreement would bring for their airlines. Carlos Muños, CEO and Founder of Volotea, said the following:

“This new interline agreement with Air Caraïbes and French bee, which will allow European travelers to easily reach the French overseas territories, the United States, and the Caribbean thanks to an optimised service. By connecting the European regional capitals we serve to major long-haul destinations via Paris-Orly, we are enhancing the customer experience and strengthening our commitment to providing passengers with practical, integrated travel solutions.”

Paul-Henri Dubreuil, Chairman and CEO of Air Caraïbes and French bee, highlighted the benefits to both Volotea and the French airlines:

“This partnership with Volotea is another step in our goal to better connect regions. By making it easier to access the overseas territories, French Polynesia, and our North American routes from Europe’s regional capitals, we are responding to a growing demand for simplicity, seamless service, and smooth travel. It also a way to highlight the appeal of these regions and strengthen our vision of a smart, accessible, and responsible long-haul network.”

Volotea was awarded a four-star rating in 2024 and recognized by Skytrax in its global passenger satisfaction survey as the “Best Low-Cost Airline in Europe” at the 2023 and 2024 World Airline Awards.
