Riyadh Air Taking to the Skies by 2025

Riyadh Air will start operating by 2025. The airline is owned by the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund and managed by CEO Tony Douglas, who has over 40 years of experience in the airline industry and has previously served as CEO of Etihad Airways.

Riyadh Air Goals and Missions

As Riyadh Air takes Saudi Arabia’s capital city, Riyadh, as headquarters, they aim to be a part of Saudi Arabia 2030 Vision by increasing the annual travellers and playing a big role in tourism in Saudi Arabia. By 2030, Riyadh Air hopes to connect Riyadh with more than 100 destinations worldwide. Creating over 200,000 jobs, Riyadh Air also seeks to be a new transformation in the aviation industry with different aspects, taking the culture and nature of Saudi Arabia the main attraction for tourists. The CEO of Riyadh Air, Tony Douglas, said:

Riyadh Air and Boeing Agreement

Riyadh Air met with Boeing in the United States and made its order of 72 787-9 Dreamliners. This multi-billion agreement will benefit Riyadh Air in building its fleet and make Saudi Arabia a global hub for airlines. However, to be the most sustainable fleet worldwide, Riyadh Air requested special requirements in terms of environment and technology. The air aims to provide an extraordinary guest experience, making digital innovation and generous Saudi hospitality its primary focus.
