China is on track to become the leading market for aviation services. According to Airbus’ latest Global Services Forecast, China’s aviation market value is expected to nearly triple to US $61 billion by 2043. Remarkable fleet expansion fuels growth
Despite numerous challenges, China’s civil aviation market has demonstrated remarkable resilience throughout 2024. Consequently, the year is expected to conclude with an outstanding 700 million travellers, signifying the highest annual passenger volume ever recorded. Furthermore, enhancements in China’s international hub airports have streamlined connections with domestic flights, driving a rise in passenger and service demand.
A key factor in China’s rise in the aviation market is its fleet expansion. Airbus‘ global market forecast predicts that by 2043, China will have 11,160 aircraft. This encompasses 20% of global demand, with 9,520 new deliveries planned within the next two decades. Moreover, more than 26% of these aircraft will replace older models.
