Further details

Air France, a subsidiary of the Air France–KLM Group, announced the first destinations of its winter schedule this year, from October 2022 – March 2023.

The carrier expanded its medium-haul services to Finland and Norway and renewed its service from the French overseas region in the Caribbean Guadeloupe and Montreal, Canada.

From Paris to the North Pole

The SkyTeam Alliance announced that from 10 December, a new route to Kittilä, Finland will start and last over the winter season. The route will run every Saturday on an Airbus A320. The aircraft will leave Paris Charles-de-Gaulle Airport at 10:05 local time and arrive in the municipality of Kittilä, which is based within the Lapland region, at 14:50 local time.

On the same day will see Air France launch a new service from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Tromsø International Airport, located in the city of Tromsø in Norway. The route will also be served by a weekly service every Saturday by an Airbus A319.

According to the French carrier, Tromsø will be the northernmost destination on the entire Air France-KLM network.

The Tromsø service will leave Paris Charles-de-Gaulle at 8:20 local time and arrive at Tromsø International Airport at 11:50 local time.

Following the success of the Charles de Gaulle – Rovaniemi, Finland route after its launch last year, Air France has expanded the service to a daily flight during the Christmas and New Year period specifically. Flights will begin on 27 November.

Connecting Guadeloupe to Canada

The announcements from Air France haven’t stopped there.

From 22 October, the carrier will start operating a new route from the city of Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe to Montreal, Canada for the second consecutive winter season.

Two flights a week will run from Charles de Gaulle via an Airbus A320.

Fares of all the flights above are available on Air France’s website.
