Etihad Airways has introduced an enhanced “Verified to Fly” service, to provide a more streamlined and personalised experience through its official website.
What is “Verified to Fly”?
This improvement expedites and simplifies the process of ensuring Etihad guests have all essential COVID-related paperwork before departing for the airport. All guests will receive a personalised email seven days before to travel advising them of the documents required for their trip. Up to 72 hours before departure, these travel documents can now be uploaded directly to Etihad’s ‘Manage my Booking’ page on their website.
The new website functionality will replace the email upload system, which was introduced in May 2021. The new upload process walks travelers through the process and shows them the particular documents they’ll need to have validated for their location.
The documents will be checked once they have been uploaded, and visitors will receive an email verifying that they have met all of the requirements for their journey. Travelers can also check the progress of their submission at any time by visiting the website and going to ‘Manage my Booking’.
As a consequence, they will be able to start their travel with total peace of mind and will be able to check-in much faster at the airport.
Etihad Airways Vice President of Airports and Network Operations, John Wright, stated, “More than 110k customers have already used Etihad’s Verified to Fly service, which has now been upgraded and streamlined. The service has drastically reduced airport check-in times, and given our customers the peace of mind that they have met all COVID-19 travel criteria before reaching the airport.”
To safeguard the inflight environment, Etihad demands that 100% of its passengers have a negative PCR test. More information on Etihad’s severe steps to ensure a healthy and hygienic travel experience may be found at etihad.com/wellness.
Like all airlines around the world, the Coronavirus pandemic has his Etihad hard. In November, the airline announced that it would be grounding all of their Airbus A380 aircraft indefinitely, due to a drop in passenger numbers.
