Tokyo to host FTE World Innovation Summit 2027

The Future Travel Experience (FTE) World Innovation Summit will relocate to Tokyo for its 2027 edition, with Haneda Airport (HND) hosting the global aviation event from March 1-3, 2027. According to FTE, the event will bring together senior leaders from airlines, airports, government bodies and technology companies to explore how the industry can improve.

Japan chosen as the next hub

FTE stated Tokyo was selected as the host city because of Japan’s reputation for technological innovation and its ambition to shape the future of aviation. Haneda Airport is Japan’s first smart airport and one of the world’s busiest. It has become known for its investment in digital technology and customer experience, making it a fitting venue for the summit.

The three-day event is designed to encourage collaboration across the aviation sector, providing delegates with opportunities to exchange ideas and discuss solutions to the industry’s biggest challenges. Summit participants will also be able to explore terminal.0 HANEDA, a dedicated research and development centre focused on developing and testing next-generation airport technologies.

Showcasing the future of aviation

The 2027 summit attendees will be able to see first-hand how Japan is using advanced technology to enhance airport operations as well as presentations, discussions, showcasing and networking. The event aims to create an environment where new ideas can be shared and future partnerships developed.

By relocating to from Pittsburgh to Tokyo, FTE says it hopes to build on Japan’s reputation as a leader in technology.
