How is On-Time Performance Measured?

OAG defines an on-time flight as one that arrives at the gate within 15 minutes of its scheduled time.

To qualify for the rankings, an airline must operate at least 1,500 flights per month, and OAG must have access to flight status data for at least 80 percent of those flights.

Importantly, to understand the statistics, cancellations count as late arrivals, impacting each carrier’s final OTP score. This data is refreshed monthly, providing the most up-to-date view of reliability in global skies.
