Air Canada expands its Latin America network with new routes and a non-stop service to Lima, Peru from Montreal and Toronto. The flights, scheduled to commence in December 2025, form part of the more than 80,000 weekly seats the airline is offering to 52 destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean during the Winter 25/26 season.

Air Canada expands its Latin America network to diversify global reach

Lima is the latest destination to be announced by the airline in Latin America, with Montreal-Belize, Toronto-Puerto Escondido, and Vancouver-Tepic, Riviera Nayarit also set to be launched. In terms of the Lima route, the airline is offering four non-stop weekly flights to the city. Two of these flights will be from Montreal and two from Toronto.

Speaking of the new routes, Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer, and President, Cargo at Air Canada, said:

“Air Canada is further diversifying its global network this winter under its New Frontiers Strategy by capitalizing on strong leisure demand to sought-after vacation destinations in South and Central America and in Mexico’s Oaxaca and Pacific coast areas […] Customers will have even more compelling choices when planning vacation travel this winter. From Peru’s rich history and archaeological ruins, the legendary Belize Barrier Reef, or Mexico’s vibrant and rapidly emerging hidden gem vacation spots, Air Canada is proud to bring new and exciting destinations for our customers to explore.”

In May, the airline confirmed its schedule for the Winter 25/26 season, which saw its largest expansion to Latin America to date, reflecting the region’s growing popularity as a winter sun spot.
