SWISS Starlink Wi-Fi Service Debuts on Airbus A320neo

SWISS launched this new internet service on Sept. 28, 2026, on the Airbus A320neo registered HB-JDM and named “Iseltwald.”

The aircraft completed its first scheduled service from Zurich to Thessaloniki as flight LX1852. Passengers can use the internet connection throughout their journey, including during take-off and landing.

The service can be used to send messages, share photos and access various online services. Miles & More members and Travel ID users can use it free of charge, regardless of travel class.

Entire SWISS Fleet to Be Equipped With Starlink by 2029

SWISS plans to install the Starlink system on three Airbus A320-family aircraft during the first phase of the rollout. Subsequently, the service will be gradually expanded across its fleet. The entire fleet is expected to offer the service by the end of 2029.

When using the connection, passengers are asked to follow several rules: Headphones should be used when watching videos or listening to audio; voice calls, video calls and live broadcasts are prohibited. In addition, passengers must respect the privacy of other passengers and crew members when sharing photos or videos taken on board.

These restrictions are designed to reduce disturbance in the cabin while allowing passengers to browse the internet, communicate and use other online services during the flight.

Will free high-speed internet make you more likely to choose SWISS? Please share your opinion in the comments below.
