Ryanair’s winter Lapland dream has been announced for the 2025-2026 season departing on a twice-weekly schedule from Birmingham Airport (BHX) to offer a magical Christmas getaway. From Oct. 27, the beautiful snowy escape to winter wonderland from BHX will operate between Lapland – Rovaniemi on Mondays and Saturdays.

 Ryanair’s Winter Lapland Dream: The Ultimate Snowy Escape

Lapland, Finland is the ultimate winter getaway for those looking for a Christmas dream this winter season. As one of the new routes amongst 21 others announced this winter by Ryanair, passengers boarding from Birmingham Airport will be able to access this beautiful winter wonderland to completely transform their Christmas experience.

Terminal Operations Director at Ryanair, Al Titterington celebrates the new winter route:

“We’re delighted that Ryanair is expanding its presence at Birmingham Airport this winter with an all-new route to Lapland-Rovaniemi which accompanies our existing services.”

What to expect in the perfect Winter Wonderland of Lapland

If you’re travelling as a family, or just looking for a fun getaway, Lapland offers a magical snowy escape for everyone. Places such as Santa’s Lapland have packages available to accommodate groups of all sizes with activities such as Santa’s Grotto, husky sledding, reindeer sleigh rides, snow hockey, visiting mini-igloos and more!

Escapes to the beautiful city of Rovaniemi are also available on Ryanair’s schedule, meaning those looking for a magical getaway will have the opportunity to experience the beautiful city Christmas lights.
