Royal Jordanian Airlines a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization and One World, has launched new direct services to London Stansted and Manchester airports. The further route expansion promises the opportunity for cultural connection.
Royal Jordanian Airlines expansion service to Manchester and London Stansted Airport
2023 was a year full of accomplishments for Royal Jordanian Airlines, a year marked with 45 destinations and 5 new routes (Brussels, Stockholm, Milan, Dusseldorf and Lyon), and with the soon achieved plans in adding London Stansted and Manchester to 6th and 7th place in Airline Europe’s network.
Currently with flights to London Heathrow Airport, Royal Jordanian Airlines is significantly expanding its routes to additional airports in the United Kingdom. The new direct flights from London Stansted to Amman (capital of Jordan) are set to start operating on March 3rd with 4 weekly flights. Manchester Airport will likewise make available a direct route to Amman starting on March 6th, with 3 flights per week. The flight-time is approximately 5 hours.
An Improvement of continental connectivity and the discovery of the Jordan beauty
Royal Jordanian’s Chief Commercial Officer, Karim Makhlouf, explained how the key focus of the new corporate strategy aims to promote tourism to the Kingdom, offering Amman improved connectivity. The aim is to deliver new routes between the continents in a more facilitated way for UK tourists to discover Jordan. Karim expressed his enthusiasm about the latest UK route’s accomplishments and the future growth plan:
“Our new route to London Stansted will make it easier than ever for tourists from the UK to discover Jordan’s incredible wonders. The new routes are yet another step in line with Royal Jordanian’s ambitious five-year growth plan of increasing our current fleet of 24 aircraft to more than 40 aircraft in the coming three to five years.”
Ciaran Brannigan, London Stansted’s Commercial Director, emphasised about the rich Amman history highlighting an amount of the tourist places that deserve recognition:
“Amman is a city full of history, unique architecture, art galleries, and museums, with many excellent restaurants and “boozing” nightlife. The route will facilitate the travellers’ visits to the Golden Triangle, the Wadi Rum desert, Petra, one of the world’s seven wonders, and Aqaba, a popular diving location on the Red Sea. These are some of the incredible places to visit.”
Manchester airport managing director Chris Woodroofe also expressed his keenness about the connectivity to Amma, giving gratitude to RJA:
“International travel is about opening up the world. Traveling to Jordan from Manchester in just a few hours extends the possibility of exploring ancient history in Petra, eating tasty food in Amman, and enjoying stunning beaches in Aqaba.”

Royal Jordanian’s new routes will be marked as an excellent opportunity for UK travellers to visit new destinations within the Levant region.
