Following the closure of Qatari airspace, Qatar Airways issued a statement updating customers on the status of scheduled flights. The carrier won’t proceed with flights and is actively contacting passengers affected by the cancellation.

The Situation on Middle East’s Airspace
The instability in the Middle East has led to the cancellation of thousands of flights. The tension has led to a great disruption of the airspace in the region, daily cancelling around 3,000 flights. These services were coming in or out of the Middle East.
Airlines such as Emirates and Etihad remain operating, however, under a significantly reduced schedule. The Dubai-based carrier, Emirates, is currently flying to 82 destinations, as London, Sydney and New York. Etihad will resume a small portion of its flights, flying to and from Abu Dhabi.
The tension in the Middle East resulted in Qatar Airways suspending operations beginning on Feb. 28. Since the Doha-based, Qatar Airways, operates to and from a number of major cities, the airline and passengers are experiencing major regional disruptions.

Qatar Airways Service Update
As of March 6, 2026, Qatar Airways flights were suspended. The airline updated the public on the status of services and the airspace. Those impacted by the cancellations were contacted and advised to not go to the airport, unless the airline confirmed their flight.

On March 10 and 11, the carrier will fly to destinations such as London Heathrow (LHR), Madrid (MAD), and Delhi (DEL).
Regarding the flights arriving in Qatar, several flight will land in Doha between the March 10, 11 and 12, from destinations such as Cairo (CAI) and Toronto (YYZ). The airline is committed in assisting its customers and assures flyers that their safety is of the utmost importance.
