Largest Starlink Provider Globally: Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways initiated the installation of a Starlink internet connection on their fleet in October 2024. Until today, half of its Boeing777 Aircraft is equipped with an internet connection. This has surpassed the company’s expected targets with sped-up installation processes.

Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, the CEO of Qatar Airways Group, commented during the Web Summit Qatar 2025 on the group’s ambitions:

“We are delivering on our commitment to provide our passengers the best in-flight connectivity at an unprecedented pace.”

Through adopting new initiatives and strategic development plans, the group is ambitious about remaining one of the world’s most influential airlines.

Never Disconnected In Air Again

Back half a decade when taking a long-haul flight means disconnecting for 10 hours, different airlines have been more and more equipped with onboard internet services. With the introduction of Starlink following more and more advanced technology, shortly flying on a plane would be no different to taking a train, with high-speed in-flight connectivity.

Qatar Airways, one of the world’s leading airlines in innovation, embracing new initiatives and elevating customer experience, again takes a leading position. Their strategic development plans and installation of in-flight Starlink internet connection once again secure a global leading position.
