Qatar Airways has announced it will resume flights to destinations in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan — following the removal of airspace restrictions in the State of Qatar and across the region — starting from 30 June 2025.

Qatar Reopens Airspace
Hundreds of Qatar Airways flights were either cancelled, delayed or diverted last week following the closure of the State of Qatar’s airspace due to an Iranian missile attack on a United States air base. The conflict disrupted many airlines’ operations in the Middle East. In an open letter to Qatar Airways passengers, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Group Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways, said:
“To everyone who travelled with us during this difficult time — to those who waited patiently in long queues, to those who faced uncertainty, and to those who showed understanding in the face of a worrying and rapidly-evolving crisis — I thank you. We are deeply grateful for your patience and trust as we worked to take you to your destination as safely and smoothly as possible.”
The airline says it is working closely with government stakeholders and relevant authorities to support passengers affected by the disruption and to return to normal operations as soon as possible. Passengers are advised to check the status of their flight on the airline’s website.

Operations Returning to Normal
From June 30, Qatar Airways will gradually reinstate its flights to destinations in Iraq, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon from Doha’s Hamad International Airport (DOH), according to the following schedule:
