Qatar Airways becomes the first presenting partner of Ballon d’Or

Qatar Airways has taken another step in its commitment to global sport, as it is now the first-ever presenting partner of the world’s most prestigious award ceremony in football, the Ballon d’Or.

Ballon d’Or

The 69th edition of the Ballon d’Or will take place on Sep. 22, 2025, at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, France. The Ballon d’Or tradition has taken place over six decades and has crowned some of the most renowned players in football history, celebrating their talent, dedication, and achievements on the world stage. 

The award takes place annually by France Football magazine and honours the world’s best players across men and women’s games. Qatar Airways has been committed to the global sporting community, carrying out several initiatives to connect fans, players, and cultures across the world. The airline stated that the new partnership unites the world’s best airline with the world’s best players and that it marks a significant milestone in its commitment to global sport. 

With the addition of this partnership, Qatar Airways has further increased its portfolio of global sports partnerships, which includes the likes of FIFA, UEFA Champions League and National Team Competitions, Formula 1, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), FC Internazionale Milano, AFC, The Royal Challengers Bangalore, and so much more.
