A Bit More About the Route

Getting from London to Sardinia’s idyllic coastal city of Olbia has never been easier thanks to British Airways’ new weekly flights from LCY. Starting on May 25, 2025, the service will initially run on Saturdays. This is ideal for those travellers looking to escape the frenzy of the city with a quick weekend away.

British Airways will then be adding a second mid-week flight on Wednesdays. This will start from July 16, and will expand passengers’ flexibility to explore this stunning island for a longer period. The new route also offers convenient departure times.

Flights will leave from LCY at 12:35 PM, and will return from Olbia at 4:35 PM. These day trips allow visitors to easily maximise their time at both ends of the journey.

Whilst prices fluctuate, return fares to this route start at a very reasonable £99. In terms of accommodation, Sardinia offers a range of options. From luxury beachside resorts to Olbia’s traditional rustic agriturismos, trips to this destination are flexible to a variety of budgets.
