Emirates SkyCargo successfully transported Altair-1, the United Arab Emirates (UAE )’s first AI-processing commercial satellite, on Aug. 13 2026. As part of Orbitworks’ Altair constellation, the satellite demonstrates technological innovation in action. Altair-1 was transported via Boeing 777 cargo aircraft from Dubai (DWC) to Los Angeles (LAX) ahead of its real-life launch in October 2026.

About Altair-1
Altair-1 is part of a multi-sensor satellite constellation developed in the UAE by Orbitworks. As a result, Altair-1 benefits from advanced sensing capabilities and AI processing.
With its advanced features, Altair-1 will provide analytical and evaluative intelligence for applications such as disaster response, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure assessment.
Emirates SkyCargo is transporting the satellite as the first of 10 in the broader Altair-1 configuration.
