Oman Airports achieves major global milestone by becoming the first airport operator in the world to deploy Wi-Fi 7 technology across it’s facilities, partnering with Chinese Technology Company Huawei.

Developments to Oman’s Connectivity
The new Wi-Fi 7 technology will provide travellers with:
- Up to 46 Gbps speeds (5x faster than previously used Wi-Fi 6E).
- Enhanced Security Protocols to safeguard personal and operational data.
- Seamless reliability, even at peak travel hours.

New Benchmark for Muscat International Airport
Muscat International Airport welcomes more than 40,000 passengers daily, and will be the first to experience this new partnership at work. Terminal areas, check-in counters, departure halls and dining spaces will offer this seamless, high-speed connectivity — ensuring travellers remain connected during their journeys.
