Delta Air Lines is preparing a revamped Delta One business class experience. The rollout is expected to begin on long-haul international flights from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in fall 2026.

Catering and service might receive the biggest changes

While Delta has not yet released a complete statement about the updated Delta One experience, changes are expected to affect meals, drinks, service flow, presentation and in-flight amenities.

A service update could provide a more consistent experience across Delta flights that have different cabin layouts. Specific areas under improvement have not been confirmed by Delta, but upgrades in tableware, glassware, meals and meal service, and beverage presentation are suspected to be the targets.

Delta has been investing in new aircraft and interiors for a while now. Its Airbus A350-1000s are expected to have new business class suites beginning in 2027. Premium seating will also be expanded on A350-900 and A330-900neo aircraft, and on some existing A330s.

Crew training begins next week

Cabin crew training is expected to begin next week. Reportedly, the training will cover changes in onboard service and experience, giving crew members time to familiarise themselves with the new procedures before the first flight rollouts in late 2026.

Delta expects to expand the upgrades across its long-haul network in 2027. Travellers should keep in mind that the updated experience will not appear on all flights immediately, and should expect varying service while rollouts happen. The exact details remain unknown.
