On the 16th of December, 2025, the Lufthansa Lounge will reopen at Stuttgart Airport after extensive renovation, tailored for guest needs and with versatile new seating areas to optimise privacy.

What To Expect

After a complete redesign, the Lufthansa Lounge now consists of two exclusive and modernised areas, only accessed by an automated and digital control system. Within the Business Lounge and the Senator Lounge, various multi-comfort zones have been developed. These are designed to meet the individual needs of their passengers, emphasising undisturbed privacy to work, read, or simply relax.

Additionally, there are a range of food, beverages, magazines, and newspapers available in both spaces. In the Senator Lounge specifically, there is a barista coffee bar with freshly prepared coffee specialities, which will use beans from a local roaster.

Overall, this renovation aimed to embody the guiding principles of “dynamic, industrial, and mobile” through the materials, shapes, and spatial staging of the new architecture. One of the hopes of this renovation was to combine the Lufthansa brand world with the character of the Stuttgart location, a concept that seems to have come to fruition.

More on the Lufthansa Group

With the highly anticipated re-opening, the Hub Manager Munich & CCO of Lufthansa Airlines, Heiko Reitz, shared on the subject:

“Many status guests sorely missed ‘their lounge’ in Stuttgart during the closure. I am therefore all the more delighted that we can finally reopen the Business and Senator Lounges after extensive renovation and with a new concept.”

Alongside this renovation, Lufthansa also celebrated its 70th anniversary at Stuttgart Airport this year. Flying to more than 60 destinations in 21 countries, particularly with Eurowings and Lufthansa, the Lufthansa Group has seen a busy and successful year, with hopes for more in 2026.
