What made 2025 a milestone year

Passengers commended LLA for its streamlined and friendly travel experience, with high levels of efficiency, helpful airport staff and quality transport links. These factors ultimately helped push satisfaction to all-time highs.

LLA was named the best low cost airport and ranked in the global top 10 by Sky-Trix, solidifying its reputation among international travellers. They were also awarded the best customer centric culture award at the UK Customer Experience Awards. Breaking another feat, they became the first airport globally to earn the BSI Kitemark of Service Excellence.

Reports from the Accessibility Report also ranked LLA “very good” enforcing improvements in assisted travel and appraised the opening of a new airside assisted travel lounge.

Jet2 launched April 2025 at LLA creating new opportunities for 17 routes at sunny destinations, with an additional five being added on later on in the year. These destinations ranged from Almeria, Funchal to Rome, Milan to Venice.

Inside the terminal, there are many amenities for passengers to enjoy before embarking on their flights. This includes the Sanfords, the largest restaurant in most UK airports and The Fletton, a landslide bar and terrace, alongside popular high-street brands.
